 Configuring your SMTP outbound email settings?
Solution SMTP (outgoing email) is available by using smtp.yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com is the domain you host with us. To stop the server being abused for sending unsolicited junk email, we require that outbound email is authenticated first. Authentication uses the same username and password as for your POP or IMAP account. These credentials will be in your welcome email and you can reset email passwords via the control panel. Your email client (eg Eudora, Thunderbird or Outlook) will need to be configured to use authentication. Different email clients use differnt screens but the setting is usually found in the 'oubound mail settings' and is usually a tick box followed by fields for your credentials.

Our SMTP server uses ports 25 or 587. We do NOT use "STARTTLS" or "SSL/TLS" so please ensure these are not checked if offered.
